✅ Volunteer Station Role Descriptions

🟫 Setup & Registration (June 10–11)

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry medium-to-heavy items (tents, tables, supply boxes)

  • Comfortable working outdoors and following team directions

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently as part of a group

  • Basic organizational skills for sorting gear, shirts, and equipment

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Setting up tents, tables, chairs, and supply stations

  • Moving equipment, loading/unloading vehicles

  • Sorting t-shirts, gear, hydration packs, and participant kits

  • Helping with registration on June 11: checking racers in, confirming info, issuing shirts and gear

❤️ Checkpoint / EMT Stations (June 12–14)

Requirements:

  • EMT/WFR certification recommended for medical volunteers

  • Non-medical volunteers welcome at hydration-only stations

  • Comfortable being outdoors on the course for several hours

  • Able to assist with basic supplies (water, electrolytes, snacks)

  • Calm, attentive, and able to communicate clearly in case of injury

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift light-to-medium gear

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manning aid stations along the race route

  • Providing hydration, electrolytes, and basic support

  • Monitoring racer safety and reporting issues to EMTs or command

  • Supporting EMT personnel in case of medical needs

  • Logging racer check-ins as they pass through

🔵 Launch / Finish Crews (June 12–14)

Requirements:

  • Friendly, energetic, and organized

  • Able to help set up and serve meals (breakfast/dinner)

  • Light-to-moderate lifting (tables, food containers, water jugs)

  • Good communication and hospitality skills

  • Comfortable working during early mornings or evenings

  • Attention to detail for check-in/check-out procedures

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Morning: assisting with breakfast setup and racer launch operations

  • Evening: serving dinner, refilling hydration stations, and supporting racer recovery

  • Helping manage check-in at Bronze, Silver, and Gold tents

  • Keeping the area clean, organized, and running smoothly

  • Encouraging racers and helping them transition into rest or finish zones
